Rodelbahn Ginzling is situated in the Floite valley just 8km from
the popular ski resort of Mayrhofen
in Tirol. The course is 3.5 km long and has been designed for both
beginners and professionals. You can go as slow or as fast as you
wish.
Ginzling is at 1000m above sea level and due to the position of
the Floite valley retains the snow for a majority of the winter.
Rodelbahn Ginzling is prepared daily during the winter season with
use of specialist equipment and is fully floodlit for nighttime
Tobogganing.
RODELS
'Rodels' or Toboggans can carry 2 people, and are available to
rent at the course for just € 3.00 per rodel.
Safety is one of the key elements to Rodelbahn Ginzling and it
offers full Safety netting as well as being controlled by the
'Rodel Meister'.
TRISTENBACH ALM
At the top of the track lies the famous Tristenbach Alm,
a 300 year-old traditional Tirolean restaurant. A perfect venue
to spend an evening enjoying some of the Austrian 'spirit'! The
Alm is open daily during the Christmas & new year period and
in the evenings from 19.00 hrs.
Due to the popularity of the Tristenbach Alm hut nights you it is
advisable to ring ahead to book places and avoid disappointment.
Traditionally
a walk up to the top of the course starts a Rodelling evening,
but for the less energetic there is transport available for a
small stipend, just €5.00 per person.
